This one pours black with a decent dark brown head that hangs around with some lacing. The aroma goes pretty deep with an oaky bourbon, caramel, coffee and chocolate. The flavor hits upfront with the bourbon and oak then moves to a sweet caramel with hints of chocolate and coffee through the middle. The finish is all hot and oaky bourbon. This has a syrup texture and a nice creaminess, but the hotness pulls the smooth feel back a bit. This chocolate and coffee imperial stout is aged one year on bourbon barrels in caves…No wonder this is all the rave right now. Get out there and try this, if you can find it!
