There is a nice oaky vanilla character with brandy and a hint of cinnamon and nutmeg.
This imperial pours a hazy amber with a light foamy head and decent retention.
A nice caramel malt up front leading to the vanilla and brandy character with an alcohol finish.
It has a silky smooth texture with medium to low carbonation, making this very drinkable for a barrel aged beer.
Turkey, pecan pie and french rolls
Lakefront did a great job brewing and aging this Imperial Pumpkin. It has a perfect balance in alcohol heat, malt character and pumpkin spices. I love the creativity in using brandy barrels over the typical bourbon barrels. This is a must try to experience the amazing complexity from the spicing and aging.
