This cream ale pours crisp golden yellow with a thick airy white head with good retention. The aroma has sweet honey, pilsner malt and water cracker with hints of banana. The aroma is nice and pretty complex. The flavor has a cracker malt front that moves to a smooth and sweet honey middle and then finishes up on an interesting dull and spicy bitterness. The mouthfeel is very crisp with lighter body and higher carbonation. This cream ale is a very nice, light beer to enjoy a few on a warm day. I like swamp head’s idea to add honey to a cream ale; it really adds some needed depth.
