This IPA pours a bright golden yellow with a large foamy white head. The aroma has citrus, lemongrass and pine that is all very clumped together, instead of having a clear line between the aromas. The flavor starts with a sweet herbal front with a very slight bready malt middle that transitions fast to a peppery and earthy pine character with a slight bitterness. This one has a light body with average carbonation. This is a very interesting take on an IPA. Victory used some pilsner malts with american hops to put a spin on the IPA we are used to. The pilsner malt gives very different body a flavor that is a bit of a surprise when you used to the deep caramel and crystal malts. If you want to experience the crossroads of a pilsner body with the full american hop character than check this one out!
