This russian imperial stout pours very dark brown with a minimal tan head. The aroma has molasses with a nice dark roast coffee character with roasted malt and lactose kinda sweetness. The flavor has a nice creamy coffee front that moves into a nice roasted malt and follows an earthy coffee through the finish with a sweet creaminess that is balanced by a slight bitterness. The earthiness creates a very nice mix of the coffee and roasted malts. It has a heavy body with lower carbonation, making this very smooth and creamy. This is a very well balanced stout with a perfect addition of coffee.
