This stout pours dark brown and sits dark black in the glass with a big brown head that has good retention. The aroma on this stout is a serious monster of complexity. It has notes of sweet and earthy bitter chocolate with toffee and roasted nuts and a sweet lactose lingering in the background with plenty of toasted and roasted malt backbone. The flavor is no let down after everything the aroma has to offer. You get a sweet milky chocolate with some lactose sweetness upfront that moves into a vanilla, toffee and caramel middle. There is a very nice toasted peanut character that rides the middle all of the way through the finish and then ends on a very slight cinnamon with some dark fruits. It has a medium to heavy body with lower carbonation making for a very smooth and creamy beer. As you can see this stout has an amazing complexity that all works together in a truly amazing way. Everything comes together with great character and the perfect balance. Oh yeah...go try this!
