A huge amount of pumpkin with the perfect blend of spice. Slight hints of brown sugar, allspice, cinnamon and nutmeg.
A golden orange color. This beer has a light white head with no retention. It dissolves quickly.
Similar to the aroma, it has just what you expect when you hear pumpkin. This beer has a very fresh sweet pumpkin meat taste. Followed by a creamy mix of vanilla, cinnamon and cloves. Alcohol upfront, followed by a malty and hoppy bitterness towards the end. This beer is well balanced on all levels of the overall sweetness, bitterness and creaminess.
Medium to above average carbonation. It has a good malt character, great spice and light hops. Very easy to drink and a smooth dry finish.
Turkey sandwich, butternut squash, homemade pumpkin pie and chocolate chip cookies.
Easily one of the best pumpkin beers I've had. It's a very solid and well balanced ale. I enjoyed the focus on actual pumpkin flavors. What is particularly impressive is the seamless transition from sweet to spicy to pumpkin pie to a malty pie crust finish. Overall, it's a solid beer for this style. This beer can appeal to all kinds of beer lovers and is a must try! This “Punkin Ale” is really making me look forward to fall!
