It has a dank smell to it initially, with slight caramel malt. It was then followed by a large grapefruit, pineapple smell.
It was very cloudy golden yellow. The head started off decent and became very minimal but lasted the whole time.
Flavor is a bit of a let down from the aroma. Taste is pure bitter with little to no hop flavor. This beer is very dry but lacks the fruity flavor you'd expect from an IPA. Some late tropical hop additions would help to add hop character without abrasive bitterness. There is that light caramel malt in here as well, but its overshadowed.
This beer has a heavy bitterness with high level of carbonation and a light mouthfeel.
Pretzels, cheesy nachos, fried chicken, and fajitas.
Aroma and mouthfeel are good but flavor is too one-dimensional with just bitterness. There is no depth to this beer, but I can see people into bitter beers drinking this up. But IPA's typically have a standard, and this beer falls below. Overall I won't suggest, nor buy again.
