This IPA pours a golden amber with a large frothy white head with good retention. The aroma has a simple but great character with citrus and a fresh pine then hints of caramel malt and grass. The flavor grabs you with a sweet and deep caramel malt presence that gets balanced out by a grassy pine middle. It wraps up with a bright tangerine with a bitter grapefruit rind to round off the finish. This has a medium body with higher carbonation that gives a nice effervescence through the middle to brighten up that hop character. The way Ecliptic used hops and then balanced them with the caramel backbone is pretty amazing. I love the balance you get all of the way through this one. You don’t find many IPAs with that malt presence to back up the bitterness, but this one showcases it perfectly. This will surely keep you orbiting!
