This beer has a big aroma with pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg as the prominent characteristics.
It pours a hazy amber, copper color with a very small creamy head that dissipates fast.
You get a creamy pumpkin flavor with strong nutmeg and ginger, then a hint of citrus and small amount of caramel malt.
This pumpkin ale is an interesting mix between creamy and watery, but overall light body and low carbonation.
Pecan Pie, Roasted Almonds and Sweet Potatoes
Elysian did a nice job on this pumpkin ale, getting a great balance between sweetness and spice. The mouthfeel is something different with an almost watered down flavor, but still comes at you with a bit of a creaminess. This is a very good pumpkin ale but I would just like to see a bit more malt character.
