This IPA pours a golden orange color with a white bubbly head and decent retention. It starts off right away in the aroma with a big juicy citrus character with all around blood orange. The taste is much of the same with a sweet blood orange start, caramel malt middle and a blood orange finish. This one is medium bodied with a smooth and creamy mouth feel from the low carbonation. This one has a lot of added blood orange, which takes away from the actual beer, including the hop bitterness. It seems like there isn’t enough hops to make the transition seamless from the simple citrus flavor to the added blood orange complexity. It could be turned down a notch to appeal to more people. If you love blood orange, this is the one for you! It’s not bad by any means, it would be g reat on a hot day. But, sadly this is one I will not seek again.
