This milk stout pours black with a larger foamy tan head with good retention. The aroma has a cocoa nib bitterness with an interesting hint of chocolate syrup over vanilla ice cream. The aroma is a bit weak overall. The flavor starts with a smooth milky character that transitions to a chocolate finish that has a bit of the cocoa nib bitterness. This has a nice creamy mouthfeel with a medium body. This one does the simple things right, like the chocolate and milky creaminess, but it just turns out a bit one dimensional. This is a great stout to try when you want chocolate with something lighter.
