This IIPA pours a toasted orange color with a white head that decimates at a nice pace. It starts off with a lot of citrus and caramel upfront. Then it turns to a very piney scent with a hint of hop oil and an overall bitterness. It is medium to heavy bodied and high carbonation. The flavor is much like the aroma with sweet malt in the front, hop oil in the middle and a nice pine resin finish. Overall, there is a good malt backbone, with a wonderful hop character that isn't overly bitter. Making this one very balanced and very enjoyable! This is a big, solid IIPA that lives up to name!
