This session Ale pours a bright golden yellow color with a large white head and decent retention. The aroma is full of citrus and lemon with hints of pilsner malt. The flavor starts off with a nice citrus with herbal hints and a strong pilsner malt character through the middle. There is an overwhelming bitter finish that is a bit out of place for a session. The mouthfeel is light and crisp, but it feels as if something is missing. It seems as if it’s a watered down IPA with a strong pilsner character that is very one-dimensional. Although this one would be pleasant on a sunny day, it’s a forgettable beer and isn’t in the league of the best session I’ve had in the past. Overall, it disappoints and I wouldn’t recommend it to friends.
