A huge amount of pine, sage and citrus hops. This beer has a very earthy smell with somewhat of a slight spice. It smells as if you are literally in the Forest.
A dark amber color. This beer has a light white head, with decent retention.
The spices and flavors come together wonderfully on this beer. A little bit of berry with a lot of spicy, earthy character. There are hints of fresh sage and mint. Very well balanced with a nice malty backbone and slight sweetness. It's a very unique twist they should be proud of.
Medium to above average carbonation. It has a good malt character, great spice and light hops. Very easy to drink with a smooth, dry finish.
Honey baked ham, BBQ ribs, and salted caramel ice cream.
This one is very unique. It's impressive that they used sage and juniper berries to make such a smooth tasting beer. Overall, it's a very drinkable IPA. I can totally understand how it has mixed reviews, this isn't the beer for everyone. I appreciate it, but this one wouldn't be my first choice. If you like earthy sage in your beer along with a malty, hotness then this is a must try!
