This IPA pours a beautiful bright mango orange color with a large frothy white head. The aroma has a nice mango, tangerine and pineapple smell. The flavor hits off with a mouthful of citrus hops and a large pineapple bitter upfront with a distinct pine resin in the middle and a bitter mango finish with no aftertaste, just straight bitterness. I would have really hoped for more of a juicy quality for the added mango. Unfortunately, as you keep drinking the sweetness disappears, and leaves you with an unnatural taste in your mouth that doesn’t make you want to keep drinking. It has a very thick, full body with medium carbonation that finishes with a bitterness that is brutal. Overall, this one was a strong bitter bomb that I wouldn’t have expected. I would of thought there would be more of a juicy character, not all bitter. If you are into very bitter beers and enjoy mango, you need to check this one out!
