This IIPA pours a beautiful orange color with a white head and decent retention. The aroma has a lot of pine, citrus and apricot. The flavor starts off with a lot of pine and herb upfront. Then it turns to a very nice stone fruit middle, with a hint of floral in the background and a hot tequila finish. It is heavy bodied and very thick and rich. There is a good malt character, yet it’s never overly sweet in the taste. Overall, this is a great complex beer and they did a good job to mask the alcohol. I love that they aged this IIPA in tequila barrels. It’s an easy drinker that is very enjoyable. If you are looking for something new to try, this is the one!
