Right away you are hit with notes of pineapple and pina colada, followed by a hint of coconut, orange peel and bit of hops.
It pours a golden yellow with a bit of haze and a medium white bubbly head.
You get what you would expect from the aroma; but amazingly, it’s even stronger. This beer has huge pineapple and coconut up front and overpowers the little bit of malt and hop character.
This is very smooth and a bit creamy with medium carbonation.
Nachos, Chips and Salsa and Tacos Al Pastor.
You definitely need to be a pineapple and coconut fan to fully enjoy this beer. The pina colada flavor was too overpowering for me. I missed having any noticeable hop or malt character to help with the strong, almost artificial flavor. This is a fun beer to try and gives a nice change from the typical, but not something I’ll be drinking repeatedly.
