This red IPA pours a hazy amber color with a large fizzy white head that dies down and leaves a small amount of lacing around the glass. The aroma has a ginger melon hop smell with a slight amount of malt and floral hops as well. The taste is pretty much the same as the smell which has more of a ginger presence. It starts off with a ginger upfront and a malty bitter finish with a strong ginger spicy hotness. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied and crisp. There is a good balance between the ginger and malt, especially for not being a big fan of ginger. I personally would like to see more of a hop character to make it more 3 dimensional and balanced. Overall, it’s decent and a must try!
