This IPA pours a dark golden orange color with a nice bright white head and decent retention. The aromas are very sweet from the caramel malt with a citrus melon in the background. The bitterness comes through all the way with this IPA. It starts off with and a watery bitter middle with an overly bitter after taste that lingers well past the finish. The deep bitterness has a slight power of herbal earthy character. The feel of this brew is medium bodied with higher carbonation. Overall, they added too much bittering hops on this. The bitterness is very overpowering, as it does not let the other characters of the beer shine. It’s a decent offering for those that enjoy a hop bomb, but it's nothing above average for the style.
