This is one serious bourbon barrel aged beer. The complexity with the malt and oatmeal blended with the bourbon barrel brings in so many flavors that one pour is not enough to do it justice. Caramel and toasty malts have a nice sweetness while the vanilla and oak smooth it out and make this dangerously drinkable. The overall balance is surprising; it's not too sweet, not too bitter and not even too hot. If you can get ahold of this one, then don't pass it up...and set aside some time to really enjoy it and experience the complexity as it warms.
