Spicy wheat ale
Nose is very strong of spicy jalapeño along with earthy note and wheat.
It was a hazy yellow with very low clarity and a very low head, almost non existent.
Taste is much the same of the aroma. But a lot more intense. It was very overwhelming. It wasn't like chilli peppers. It was more like jalapeños, with a dirty earthy taste. The finish is much of the same. With all the hot flavor you don't taste any of the beer character, no wheat flavors are present.
This beer was a light carbonation with overly the top on the heat. It almost left a heavy feeling on your tongue in the finish, with a burn in the end.
Spicy omelette, grilled cheese sandwich, BBQ tri tip, or jalapeño poppers.
This is not a drinkable beer. It seems as if the spicy flavors are masking the real character of the beer for me. Which is a big concern or mine. Possibly if this spice was added to a porter it wouldn't be as big of an impact. It almost reminded me of hot sauce in a beer. It's definitely hotter then habanero sculpin. Overall a below average beer, I would not consider again.
