This Hefeweizen pours a hazy golden yellow color with a small bubbly head and decent retention. You get a lot of the traditional banana on the nose with a slight pepper character. There is a slight sour tartness that is off putting for this style. On the flavor, it’s much like aroma with hints of toasted wheat and hints of cloves in the middle. It has a bit of a watery mouthfeel, but it is very light and crisp. Overall, it’s an average very easy drinking Hefeweizen. If it wasn’t for the subtly sour character it would be a lot easier to recommend. Although this beer would be a great addition to a hot day, but nothing I would seek out and have again.
