This barley wine has a beautiful complexity and maintains a very nice balance from start to finish. The flavors they pulled in from the barrel are just right. The oak, vanilla and dark fruit pair up perfectly with the creamy caramel malt through the middle. The hotness doesn’t give a huge bite like many, but at 10.9% ABV it is on the lower end for barley wines; making this dangerously drinkable. Check this one out if you get the chance!
