IPA brewed with apricot juice
ABV: 7.0%
IBU: 50
Aroma-
Citrusy hop aroma, with a large amount of apricot.
Floral hop aroma takes over the malty notes.
Light amber/orange color with high clarity.
Flavor-
Flavor has a large apricot taste that out weighs the alcohol profile. The bitterness is not too intense, which switches to malt notes when finished. While the hop profile last longer.
Mouthfeel-
Medium body with good amount carbonation. This has a good amount of dryness that last into the aftertaste.
Food pairings-
Grilled chicken, pot roast, apple pie.
Overall Impression-
I think they did a great job putting a twist on an IPA. The apricot brings a clean crisp feeling to this beer. A mild beer in terms of hop aroma, with a decent flavor. As much as I love hoppy IPA's, this would be a great summer beer. Decent beer over all.
