This american stout pours a dark rich brown with a thin tan head. The aroma hits right off with dark stale coffee with some roasted character. The flavor has the same coffee to start, with a hint of chocolate but ends with a huge lingering bitterness. This is full bodied with a lower carbonation but very smooth until you hit the bitter finish. This is good american stout that plays big on the bitterness, but I would like to see a bit more complexity. I would definitely give this a try if you love a dark bold beer with this earthy bitter twist.
