This imperial IPA pours a dark caramel color with a medium foamy white head. The aroma has a nice sweetness that is balanced out by a cantaloupe and grassy hop character. The flavor hits off with the malty sweetness upfront and then has juicy cantaloupe through the middle with a grassy hop that offers a very bitter finish. It has a very thick, full body with higher carbonation. This one has some very typical IPA characteristics with a big punch of hops and overall bitterness, as you would expect with an imperial. It has a very nice balance, but you definitely need to be a fan of bitter beers to really enjoy the big bitter finish.
